National Veterans Service Committee Activities

November 2020

by Nancy De Vito

It’s that time of year, the holidays will soon be upon us. Veterans Day November 11, Thanksgivivng, and than Christmas.

This year is different and has caused many challenges. Normally we bring lunch and have lunch with our Veterans but due to restrictions and saftey for us as well as them we will be dropping lunch off. Willow spring will hold the lunch for them in the special room. We miss seeing them and want to thank them for their service.

We have a few dates for Santa to appear at base for the military children but are waiting for the final clearing confirmation to go on base.

I want to make a HUGE THANK YOU to the Renaissance Womens’s Club for over 50 backpacks, bags and stuffed aniamals for Santa to deliver to the military children. Thank you to Pat Spieler, Jay Speiler, Stephanie Pandolfo, and Barbara Kwiatek for delivering them to my home. I truely appreicate you thinking of our military children . God Bless you.

So long as there are Veterans,
the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks will never forget them!
