The Point Pleasant Elks Lodge is proud to announce the awarding of 14 $500 Grants to our graduating local seniors to assist them financially with their next level of education. During their Awards Ceremony, the Lodge presented awards at the Point Pleasant Borough High School. The recipients are:

The Jan Picarell Memorial: Francesca “Frankie” Ryan, attending Rowan College/Sports Communications

Recipients of the Pleasant Elks Achievement Award:

    Nicholas Minervini, attending Seton Hall University/Pediatric Nursing

    Heather Roselle, attending American University/Political Science

    Kayla Griffin, attending North Carolina State University/Architecture

    Lyndsey Coyle, attending Ocean County College /Undecided

Recipients of the Perseverance Awards:

    Shae Yocum, attending College of Charleston/Exercise Science-Physical Therapy

    Lauren Aber, attending Brookdale County College/Graphic Design

Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student (MVS) Scholarships:

Point Pleasant Lodge #1698 sponsored several students who attained District, State & Natioanl level recognition for the Elks National Foundation's Most Valuable Student Scholarships. The Elks National Foundation has given over $4.6 million in scholarships annually in support of higher education with programs such as the Most Valuable Student which is open to all graduating high school seniors. The following student received State recognition.
